Rent Party, founded in October 2009 in conjuction with the South Orange Elks, is a monthly benefit that supports efforts to fight hunger in Maplewood and South Orange, NJ.
General Information:
Rent Parties featuring local bands (and occasional extra-special guests) are held on the second Friday of each month at the Elk's Lodge in South Orange, NJ.
Minimum donation is $5 – but the more you give, the better you'll feel!
Good music and cold beer at a reasonable price.
Other Rent Party Projects:
- We have rolled out our first "in house" program called BackPack Pals, which provides food for the weekend for in-need kids.
- We've started a Community Garden at the Elks Lodge.
... We're able to do this because we live in a great community!!
